Hanbury Haunted Hotel & Museum – Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking an event, overnight stay, or private hire at Hanbury Haunted Hotel & Museum. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these terms in full.
1. Bookings and Payments
All bookings are subject to availability and must be made through our official booking channels.
A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
The final balance must be paid 21 days prior to the event, stay, or private hire date.
If the final balance is not received by the 21-day deadline, your booking may be cancelled without notice and your deposit forfeited.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
All payments are non-refundable, including deposits and final balance payments.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 21 days of the event or stay.
Failure to attend without prior notice will result in full forfeiture of payment.
In the unlikely event that Hanbury Haunted Hotel & Museum must cancel an event, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund of any payments made.
3. Age Restrictions
All participants must be 16 years of age or older.
Guests aged 16–17 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
Proof of age may be required. Anyone found to be under the age limit will be refused entry without refund.
4. Behaviour and Rules
To protect the integrity of the building, artefacts, and our paranormal experiences:
DO NOT touch, move, or interfere with any objects or artefacts.
Breaching this rule will result in immediate removal from the premises and termination of your booking without refund.
Respectful behaviour is expected throughout the experience. Antisocial behaviour, including aggression, intoxication, or non-compliance with staff instructions, will result in removal without refund.
You are responsible for your own behaviour and for any damage caused during your visit.
5. Overnight Stays
Overnight stays may be part of your booking, depending on the experience or hire package.
Bedding is provided for all beds, including camp beds.
Guests are expected to respect others during overnight stays and maintain a quiet environment where possible.
You are responsible for your belongings; Hanbury Haunted Hotel & Museum accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen items.
6. Private Hire
Private hire groups are subject to the same rules and terms as public bookings.
The lead booker is responsible for ensuring that all guests are aware of and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
All attendees must be aged 16+ and follow the no-touch policy for artefacts and objects.
Private hire bookings are also subject to the 21-day final payment deadline and non-refundable payment policy.
7. Media and Photography
All photographs, videos, and audio recordings taken during any event or overnight stay at Hanbury Haunted Hotel & Museum remain the property of Hanbury Haunted Hotel & Museum.
By attending our events or stays, you consent to us using any media captured for marketing, promotional, and archival purposes without limitation or compensation.
You may take your own photographs/videos during designated times, but these may not be used commercially without written permission.
8. Acceptance of Risk
Our experiences may involve long hours, low lighting, emotionally intense content, and potentially startling moments.
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. We are not responsible for psychological, emotional, or physical effects resulting from your attendance.
9. Acceptance of Terms
By booking an event, overnight stay, or private hire, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
